At Northwest Michigan Kung Fu and Tai Chi School in Kalkaska, MI, we focus on personalized instruction for every skill level. Our emphasis on holistic health benefits aims to nurture both physical and mental wellbeing. From our Senior Tai Chi classes to our Kids Kung Fu, you're sure to find a fun challenge to help you reach your goals.
Our curriculum encompasses essential techniques, applications, and the rich historical heritage of Shaolin-Do martial arts. Engage with us in a community dedicated to learning, growth, and wellness through the practice of Chinese Internal and External martial arts.


Classes
Head Instructor
Sifu Ben holds a second degree black belt in both Shaolin-do Kung Fu and Tai Chi. He studied under several masters in Texas who run some of the largest schools in the country. One holds a Phd and another is the Tai Chi teacher for the San Antonio Spurs and is the use of force instructor for Texas Border Patrol. Sifu Ben also holds a Masters Degree, a Certificate from Princeton Seminary and two undergraduate degrees. In his career he has spent over a decade working with people in the areas of personal development and facing challenges. He taught kids self defense her in Northern Michigan in the early 2000s and took a group of students to China in 2002. He has trained in several other martial arts before Shaolin-do but has found both the art and community to be much more fulfilling and meaningful.
